Job Description

  • Namz Pharmacy & Stores is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to manage the company’s financial operations.
  • The ideal candidate will oversee financial records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • This role is open to qualified female candidates passionate about driving excellence in accounting and finance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Prepare accurate financial statements, budgets, and monthly reports for management.
  • Monitor cash flow and develop strategies to optimize financial performance.
  • Handle payroll processing and ensure timely payment of staff salaries.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including VAT, PAYE, and corporate taxes.
  • Reconcile bank statements and oversee all financial transactions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial data.
  • Assist in audits and implement recommendations to enhance financial efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align financial practices with company objectives.

Educational Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • ICAN/ACCA certification (or progress toward certification) is an added advantage.

Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in a retail, pharmaceutical, or healthcare sector.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations.

Remuneration
N80,000 – N120,000 per month.
