Job Description
- Namz Pharmacy & Stores is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to manage the company’s financial operations.
- The ideal candidate will oversee financial records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- This role is open to qualified female candidates passionate about driving excellence in accounting and finance.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare accurate financial statements, budgets, and monthly reports for management.
- Monitor cash flow and develop strategies to optimize financial performance.
- Handle payroll processing and ensure timely payment of staff salaries.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including VAT, PAYE, and corporate taxes.
- Reconcile bank statements and oversee all financial transactions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial data.
- Assist in audits and implement recommendations to enhance financial efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to align financial practices with company objectives.
Educational Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- ICAN/ACCA certification (or progress toward certification) is an added advantage.
Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in a retail, pharmaceutical, or healthcare sector.

Skills and Competencies:
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations.
Remuneration
N80,000 – N120,000 per month.
