Analyst, Software Product Manager

About the Position
- Dev-Afrique is recruiting a full-time Product/Program Analyst who is passionate about development issues in Africa and excited to work at the intersection of development, industry, and governance.
- A successful candidate will be one who is able to multitask, collaborate, and communicate expertly with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- This role requires a candidate who is a strategic thinker with a user-centric mindset, collaborative, and skilled at leading cross-functional teams to deliver valuable, impactful products aligned with business goals.
Responsibilities
While responsibilities may vary, some key duties for this position include:
- Monitor the product development cycle, addressing any challenges and risks that may arise.
- Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with company objectives.
- Work closely with design, engineering, and project teams to guide products from conception through launch.
- Conduct user research and gather feedback to inform product improvements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates on product progress, timelines, and changes
- Develop detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to clearly define product features and enhancements.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for product innovation.
- Prioritize product features and initiatives based on business goals, customer feedback, and data-driven insights.
- Present product strategy, updates, and performance insights to leadership and other stakeholders.
- Ensure cross-functional teams have a clear understanding of product goals, key metrics, and target outcomes.
Requirements
- Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in French is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in product or program management, ideally within consulting, development, or tech environments.
- Experience in product management methodologies, including agile frameworks, design thinking, and customer-centric approaches.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to manage relationships effectively.
- Working knowledge of programming with a solid understanding of software development techniques, and able to effectively communicate with both engineering and design teams.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects from conception to delivery.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and any of the data visualization software, like Tableau, Google Analytics or PowerBI).
