Sales Executive

Report To: Outlet Manager/COO
Job Summary
- The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving sales and achieving revenue targets within the assigned location for the outlet’s paint products.
- This role requires the individual to manage and expand relationships with existing customers while actively seeking new business opportunities.
- The Sales Executive will be key in promoting and selling paint products to customers, including contractors, developers, retail outlets and individual customers.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue generation
- Achieve sales targets and revenue goals set by the outlet
- Identify new sales opportunities within the assigned locations and convert leads into customers
- Manage and expand relationships with existing and potential customers to increase sales volumes
Market Development:
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, market trend and competitors’ activities
- Develop and implement strategies to increase market share and brand presence in the state
- Attend industry events, exhibitions, and trade shows to promote products and identify potential business opportunities.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Provide technical advise and product recommendations to customers based on their needs and requirements.
- Handle customer complaints and queries promptly, ensuring effective resolution
Sales Planning & Reporting:
- Prepare and execute sales plans and strategies to achieve the set goals targets.
- Provide regular sales reports, forecast and market feedbacks to Outlet Manager/Director.
- Monitor inventory level at Agent shops to ensure product availability
Training & Development:
- Train outlet Agents on product knowledge, sales techniques and outlet policies
- Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and best practices in sales
Operation Support:
- Work closely with the logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of products to customers
- Assist in timely and accurate payment processing
Compliance & Ethics:
- Ensure compliance with outlet policies, procedures and ethical standards
- Adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements related to the sale and distribution of paint products in Nigeria.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: B.Sc / HND / OND in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the paint industry, building material or a related field.
Skills:
- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Candidate with a driving experience is an added advantage
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organization and time management skills
- Knowledge of Lagos routes will be an added advantage.
