Head of Social Media and Content Creation

Job Summary
- Pulse is looking for a Head of Social Media and Content Creation to join the team.
- You will be responsible for leading and coordinating a team of Social Media Managers managing Pulse’s marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities across all social media channels.
- You will guide the team in creating and implementing highly shareable content that is creative, attention-getting and on-brand.
- You must be passionate about digital and the latest market trends, and demonstrate a deep understanding of how to use social media to strategically build brands, create attention, engage audiences, and grow communities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with Pulse’s overall brand and business objectives.
- Oversee daily operations of all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, Whatsapp, etc.) to maintain a consistent brand voice.
- Manage a content calendar to ensure timely posting and relevance to trends/events.
- Lead a team in creating original, high-quality, and engaging multimedia content (videos, graphics, posts, etc.) to drive engagement.
- Monitor emerging social trends and integrate them into Pulse’s strategy.
- Supervise and mentor a team of content creators and social media managers.
- Provide feedback to enhance creativity, performance, and team synergy.
- Use analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, etc.) to monitor social media performance and content effectiveness.
- Present data-driven insights and recommendations to optimize campaigns and content strategies.
- Interact with followers and respond to comments/messages to foster an engaged community.
- Build partnerships with influencers and collaborate on campaigns to expand Pulse’s reach.
- Ensure all social media content adheres to Pulse’s brand guidelines and reinforces its voice and mission.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in social media management and content creation, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Skills:
- Expertise in social media platforms and tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social.
- Proficiency in content creation tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
- Strong copywriting skills with attention to detail and creativity.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with SEO and digital marketing strategies.
- Familiarity with paid social media advertising and campaign optimization.
- Analytical skills with experience in interpreting performance metrics and developing actionable strategies.
- Innovative mindset with the ability to anticipate and adapt to trends.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage a dynamic team.
- Understanding of video editing and photography to guide multimedia projects.
- This role demands a highly creative, data-driven leader who can elevate Pulse’s digital presence and foster meaningful engagement with its audience.
